Compass*Compass
CompassCompass.com is the first bilingual nationwide
directory to be searchable from both the Internet and most cell
phones simultaneously, utilizing the newest technologies. It started
in July 2002 as the American version of NTT’s “i Town
Page”. It is nationwide and covers 62 cities in all 50 states.
Data is divided into 600 categories with 75,000 listings, as of
June, 2006. From its mega-size database, users can conveniently
search for businesses in both English and Japanese by keyword, type
of business, phone number, and more. It also allows users to comment
on restaurants and businesses as well as communicate with each other
on bulletin boards. The directory listings feature useful tools
such as “web directory ads,” “coupons,”
“banner ads,” and “E-flyers.” |

ART
as 1™ - Japanese Professional Illustrators Vol. 1
ART as 1™ has a dual meaning: “Honoring
each work as the 1 and only ART of its kind in the world”
and “Bringing the two art worlds of the U.S. and Japan together
into 1.” America is currently experiencing a surge in its
insatiable appetite for Japanese Arts and Culture. The talent, professionalism,
and special creative originality of Japanese artists are well recognized;
however, it always seems unattainable because of distance, language
and cultural differences. ART as 1’s “JPI” project
was created to help Japanese illustrators get exposed to the world.
We have selected works by 43 top visual artists and introduced them
in the book, ART as 1™, and at
www.ARTas1.com. The book has been well received
by America’s top art directors and art buyers and will be
available at bookstores nationwide starting September of 2006 through
our exclusive distributor, IPG, for $24.95 retail.
